REAL MADRID AGREE FIVE YEAR DEAL FOR SERBIAN FORWARD

Real Madrid have agreed to sign Serbian forward Luka Jovic on a five-year deal according to several media sources. Sky Sports revealed that Madrid had agreed a transfer fee of around £60 million for the player and the news is set to be announced next week.

Jovic is considered one of the best young forwards in Europe with his natural goal scoring ability coming into play this season. He has been able to lead Eintracht Frankfurt from the front alongside Ante Rebic and Haller.

The 21-year-old has all the qualities of a modern number 9 as he is quick, powerful, strong in the air with the finishing of a deadly marksman.  There had been a buzz about the player with Barcelona initially the favourites to sign him.

Some weeks ago it was revealed that the Catalan giants were no longer interested due to the high cost involved in securing the signing. Real Madrid have moved quickly to complete the deal in what would send a signal across Spain that they mean business.

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard is also expected to sign a with the club after the Europa League final while the likes of Christian Eriksen could also be joining before the end of the transfer window. Jovic would be expected to be the backup for Karim Benzema or he could play alongside the French forward.

From what we have seen from the young forward he looks like the real deal but it would be interesting to see how he copes with the pressure in Spain.

Jovic has been impressive this season scoring 17 goals in the league and 10 goals in the Europa league.  If he is able to hit the ground running in Spain he could quickly develop into a fans favourite at the club.
